Lenovo owned Motorola seems all set to reveal the Moto X4 smartphone this week at IFA 2017. IFA Berlin is one of the world’s biggest consumer technology trade shows and it is now under way. While the curtains will rise on September 1, a torrent of leaks, rumours, press conferences have already revealed a lot about the launches to take place at the event. There were announcements from Samsung about its Gear series and so were some from Panasonic, Acer, Bosch, Asus and more. Meanwhile, the report about Moto phone launch was posted by famous tipster Ronald Quandt on Twitter.

Quandt posted a picture which makes us believe that there will be a global debut of the Moto X4 in Berlin. He tweeted a photo of Motorola’s booth at IFA, where the company appears to be planning the launch of Moto X4 mobile. However, the picture that has been leaked, confirms the Moto X4 branding, and nothing more. It should be noted that Lenovo has scheduled a press conference for Motorola in Berlin later today at 8 pm local time. In India, it will be at 12:30 am.

The Moto X4 has been a highly anticipated device and due to that, the rumour mills have been running for a long time. The mobile is expected to have a metal unibody with a 3D glass back. Reports suggest that the Moto X4’s design will be very similar to the recently launched Moto G5S Plus and Moto Z2 Play. The phone could come with a smaller 5.2 inch Full HD screen. Moto X4 will probably run on the Snapdragon 630 processor and will arrive with 4GB RAM and 64GB of internal memory.

When it comes to the camera, the Moto X4 may pack in the latest sensation- the dual camera setup. There will be a 12MP camera and an 8 MP camera on the back, according to reports. Meanwhile, there will be a 16MP selfie shooter. Moto X4 may arrive with a 3,000 mAh battery and run the Android Nougat 7.1 OTB.

These are the specifications which are seen in the higher models of mid range smartphones. It means, the Moto X4 will face direct competition from Xiaomi and Lenovo devices. Even Moto’s own G5S is a solid new device in that segment. Since the Moto G5S was launched at Rs 13,999 and the G5S comes at a price of Rs 15,999, we expect the Moto X4 to come to India within that price range itself.
