Triple Talaq verdict Live Updates: The Supreme Court on Tuesday announced its verdict on the legality of the Islamic personal law practice of Triple Talaq. Three judges have termed the Triple Talaq as unconstitutional and set it aside. The verdict was announced by a five-judge bench headed by Chief Justice of India JS Kehar.  Justice Nariman, Lalit and Kurien have opposed Chief Justice of India JS Khehar and Justice Nazir’s view. Justice Khehar, who first read his judgement,  had asked the central government to bring a legislation and Parliament to look into the matter, according to reports.

The origin of the Triple Talaq case in the apex court is linked to a two-judge bench of the top court in an unrelated case in 2015, according to The Indian Express. The Supreme Court on October 16, 2015 ruled the Hindu Succession Act, 1956, which was amended in 2005, could not apply retrospectively (Prakash and Ors versus Phulvati and Ors). In the second part of the judgement, the apex court had referred to injustices faced by Muslim women. This paved the way for a separate PIL on the matter, leading to notices to the Attorney General and the National Legal Services Authority.

CJI Khehar is hypocrite and inconsistent 1.Are IPC 498A and DV Act in compliance with cons utional fundamental rights ? Article 15-3 should be seen in the context of Art 15-1 and 15-2. But no one bothers . Then why Triple Talaq cannot be banned under 15-3 in his opinion? Khehar has deliberately tried to side with muslim leaders as he is against hindus. 2.Govt. and judiciary talk of gender justice and equality. Why not then ban gender biased laws and triple talaq in his opinion? 3. He disregarded the written words in CRPC125 and previous SC judgmnets and granted maintenance to adulterous and deserting women by taking liberal view and "intent" of the law. Why he did not take liberal intent of the cons ution to agree to ban triple talaq

Without going into more details , it can be said that the judgement has heralded a new chapter in the lives of Muslim women of India. Readers may like to know this Vedic astrology writer’s prophesy for women in India during April to July and nearby in 2017, in article “ 2017 - an opportune year for India with major worrisome concerns in February –March and August-September” issued widely to Indian news media last year in October and November 2016. Reproducing the text from the article here : - “ Both these parts from April to December present opportunities and realization of those opportunities to an extent. But the last five months appear to be comparatively not as opportune as April to July or nearby. Certain encouraging or positive things could likely take shape in national scene. WOMEN HAVE SOMETHING FOR THEM TO CHEER UP”. So the prediction has been precisely accurate and meaningful.
