PadMan Challenge: After a flock of celebrities took the PadMan challenge to show their support for the film and defied social taboos around the menstrual cycle by posing with sanitary pads, more celebrities have joined the initiative. The challenge which was started off by the man behind the inspiration of the film, Arunachalam Muruganantham who had posed with a pad in hand captioning it as, ” Yes that’s a Pad in my hand & there’s nothing to be ashamed about. It’s natural! Period.” The makers have come up with this interesting idea of promoting the film in a very different way and the best part is people are willingly being a part of it. The challenge is not just limited to the celebrities anymore and has spread across the social media where people from all spheres are seen displaying sanitary pads. The PadMan challenge was earlier accepted by Aamir Khan, Akshay Kumar, Sonam Kapoor, Shabana Azmi and Radhika Apte. Some more names have added to this unique challenge which includes Ayushmaan Khurrana, Deepika Padukone, Arjun Kapoor etc. Check out who all took the #PadManChallenge:

Off late, filmmakers no more depend on just grand events to promote their films. They seek unconventional ways to reach out to as many people as possible. Earlier, we saw team Lipstick Under My Burkha promote the film by displaying a lipstick in their hands and giving out a very strong message. Similarly, we saw Salman Khan promoting his film in some very innovative ways. PadMan, which was slated for January 25 release now will be screened on February 9. With this film, Akshay Kumar and his wife actress Twinkle Khanna aim to spread awareness about the importance of menstrual hygiene.
