Motoziel and Edelweiss Bike Travel, the motorcycle touring companies, this week announced a joint venture called Motoziel Edelweiss Pvt Ltd. Based in Gurgaon, the JV aims to provide complete motorcycling experience to enthusiasts in India. Among other things, the JV will offer experiences including self-guided and guided bike tours in India and neighbouring countries, and rides across continents.
According to company officials, motorcycle enthusiasts seeking travel experience through the sub-continent terrains can now opt for a big bike of their choice, a pre-designed tour package, and customise it as per their preference.
For people who want to ride in India and the neighbouring countries of Nepal, Bhutan, Tibet, Myanmar, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka, the bikes currently on offer are Harley-Davidson Iron 883, Ducati Scrambler, Triumph Bonneville T100 and Royal Enfield. Prices per person start from R1.14 lakh for an 8-day trip to Ladakh to R2.55 lakh for an 18-day guided ride.
The international fleet—for rides across Europe, North & South America, Africa and the Asia-Pacific—includes bikes by BMW, Harley-Davidson, Triumph, Ducati, Honda, Kawasaki, Suzuki and Royal Enfield. Prices start from R2.55 lakh for a guided trip in Europe, going up to R6.1 lakh for the Machu Picchu trail.
