Donald Trump has found a new way to poke fun at Joe Biden. In his freshly unveiled “Presidential Walk of Fame” at the White House, every former president got a gold-framed portrait, except Joe Biden, whose spot was filled with a photo of his autopen signature.
Trump’s new installation runs along the West Wing Colonnade, with black-and-white portraits of former presidents displayed in gold frames. The addition was first displayed on Wednesday in a video shared by Margo Martin, Trump’s special assistant and communications adviser.
Former President Joe Biden replaced with autopen photo
“The Presidential Walk of Fame has arrived on the West Wing Colonnade,” Margo Martin wrote on social media, sharing a video of the new wall. One frame stood out. President Joe Biden’s spot does not carry his portrait but instead a picture of his autopen signature.

Biden and Trump had clashed repeatedly during the presidential campaign, with Trump targeting Biden over his mental and cognitive health, a line of attack that intensified after a poor debate performance and ultimately Biden’s mid-campaign withdrawal.
The autopen frame also shows Trump’s long-running obsession with Biden’s use of the device for official documents. Back in June, Trump had even ordered an investigation into the matter, citing Biden’s “cognitive decline.”
Biden had dismissed Trump’s claims at the time, saying: “Let me be clear: I made the decisions during my presidency. I made the decisions about the pardons, executive orders, legislation, and proclamations. Any suggestion that I didn’t is ridiculous and false.”
Speaking to reporters aboard Air Force One in March, Trump said he never used the autopen for major decisions. “I mean, we may use it… to send some young person a letter, because it’s nice. But to sign pardons and all of the things that (Biden) signed with an autopen is disgraceful,” he said, according to CNN.
During his first term, Trump even relocated portraits of Barack Obama and George W. Bush and replaced Hillary Clinton’s portrait with one of himself. Earlier this summer, he began a major revamp of the White House Rose Garden with marble and stone tiles, adding lighting and sound systems, and creating what he now calls the “Rose Garden Club.”
Trump had already hinted at his plan to swap Biden’s portrait with an autopen image. In a recent interview with The Daily Caller, he said, “We’ll put up a picture of the autopen.” Former Biden deputy press secretary Chris Meagher reacted online, writing sarcastically about the White House’s focus on decorations, instead of its promises to address economic issues.
Trump’s memo targets Biden’s presidency
In his June memorandum, Trump directed the White House counsel and Attorney General Pam Bondi to investigate whether Biden aides misled the public about his health and presidential capacity. The order demanded a review of:
-whether aides concealed Biden’s mental state
-if they covered up his health issues
-whether Biden’s video appearances were manipulated
-and if policies signed with the autopen, including clemency orders and executive actions, were valid, according to CNN.
What is the autopen?
The autopen is a mechanical device that reproduces a person’s signature with precision, commonly used for ceremonial or high-volume documents.
