A video capturing a couple unloading what looks like ‘waste’ along a forested roadside in Canada has gone viral. The video has drawn sharp reactions from netizens on social media, and a lot of hate towards the Indian couple.
Originally posted by a user named Debbie Bloodclot on X, the video shows a man and a woman standing beside a car and placing what appear to be garbage bags near a wooded area. The video has since surpassed one million views.
Debbie captioned the post: “They turned their country into a toilet. Now they’re doing the same in beautiful, clean Canada. Don’t just film, call it out!!!” Bruce added in his repost: “They’ve destroyed India. We can’t let them destroy Canada next.”

Seeing the video, one side of users expressed concern over the couple’s behaviour and its broader implications and the other called out the earlier side for their ‘racist’ remarks. One person commented, “This is exactly the kind of behaviour that gives immigrants a bad name. Utterly irresponsible.” Another said, “Canada is not your dumping ground. Acts like this show disrespect for both the environment and the immigrant community.”
Amid the backlash, some users asked people not to jump to conclusions as the nature of the items thrown in the forest by the couple remained unclear. One such user pointed out that the couple did not appear to discard the plastic bags. They also suggested the items could have been bird feed or food scraps for wildlife. “They might have been feeding animals or performing a ritual. We don’t know the full story,” the user wrote.
Another user said, “Please remember, immigrants—especially from India—contribute significantly to Canada’s economy and society. Let’s not let a single video feed stereotypes.” As of now, there has been no confirmation of any investigation by local authorities. Neither the individuals in the video nor their intent have been officially identified.
