Prince Harry ended his trip to South Africa with a touching tribute to Nelson Mandela.

During his visit to the Nelson Mandela Foundation Centre of Memory in Johannesburg, he presented, Graca Machel, Nelson Mandela’s widow, with a photograph that showed him honoring the nation’s late leader by planting a South African flag in the South Pole, E!Online reports.

The Prince said that Mandela was one of those people you want to hug and never let go.

The 31-year-old said that he was fortunate enough to meet the former President of South Africa a number of years ago, and he had treasured that memory ever since.

Earlier, Harry visited an orphanage for children affected by HIV and AIDS which he had opened in 2004.
