Prime Minister Narendra Modi joined Truth Social, a social media platform owned by Trump Media and Technology Group on Monday.
Posting on the platform for the first time, Modi wrote, “Delighted to be on Truth Social! Looking forward to interacting with all the passionate voices here and engaging in meaningful conversations in the times to come.”
He also added a unique picture of him holding Trump’s hand at the Howdy Modi event.
PM Modi joined Truth Social when President Trump himself shared the link to PM Modi’s historic podcast with Lex Fridman.
Shortly after joining the platform, the Prime Minister followed two individuals: US President Donald Trump and Vice President JD Vance. In his second post, just minutes after the first, PM Modi quoted a Truth post from Trump, where the President had shared his podcast featuring an American AI researcher, and expressed his gratitude.
“Thank you, my friend, President Trump. I’ve covered a wide range of topics, including my life journey, India’s civilisational outlook, global issues and more,” Modi wrote on Truth Social. Earlier in the day, PM Modi, along with New Zealand PM Christopher Luxon, attended the Raisina Dialogue 2025 in Delhi.
Truth Social is a social media platform introduced in 2022 by Trump Media & Technology Group, associated with US President Trump. Users can set up and personalize profiles, follow others, share posts (referred to as “Truths”), upload images and videos, and engage in private conversations with other users.
