Epstein Case: The US Justice Department’s conclusion that there was no evidence of a Jeffrey Epstein “client list” or high-profile blackmail has triggered intense outrage within Donald Trump‘s MAGA base. Many of his supporters, long convinced that the Epstein files would expose a far-reaching elite conspiracy, now feel betrayed by the very administration they championed. The DOJ confirmed Epstein’s death as suicide and stated there were no explosive revelations in the withheld documents.

Caps burned in protest

In a striking display of anger, some MAGA supporters were seen burning their iconic red “Make America Great Again” caps. The dramatic gesture signified deep disappointment with the Trump administration, especially with Attorney General Pam Bondi and FBI Director Kash Patel. One X user wrote, “That feeling you get when you realize what a horrible mistake you actually made by voting for Trump and now you are entirely ashamed and embarrassed.”

Bondi in the crosshairs

Pam Bondi, who oversaw the Epstein-related disclosures, has become a lightning rod for criticism. Far-right influencers including Laura Loomer, Steve Bannon, and Tucker Carlson openly questioned her integrity. Carlson went so far as to accuse Bondi of “covering up very serious crimes.” Bannon used his podcast War Room to slam the Justice Department’s transparency and called the entire process a “mismanaged disaster.”

Trump defends Bondi, blames ‘radical Left’

Amid mounting backlash, Trump rushed to defend Bondi. In a fiery Truth Social post, he wrote: “What’s going on with my ‘boys’ and, in some cases, ‘gals’? They’re all going after Attorney General Pam Bondi, who is doing a FANTASTIC JOB!” He claimed the Epstein Files were fabricated by political adversaries like Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton, and Joe Biden. Trump further insisted the controversy was being weaponised by selfish elements within his base and urged supporters to refocus on the MAGA mission.

Despite Trump’s attempts to contain the fallout, the Epstein memo has exposed a widening rift within the MAGA movement.
