US President Donald Trump is trending all over social media platform X (formerly Twitter). At a time of publishing this report more than 98,000 posts are there on “Trump Is Dead”. The viral trend is raising speculations about the 79 year-old’s health.

What sparked the viral phrase?

The rumours started igniting when US Vice President JD Vance said in a recent interview with USA Today that he is ready to take charge if any “terrible tragedy” happens.

On August 27, Vance told USA Today that Trump, at 79 is still energetic and active, he praised Trump’s energy, saying “he’s the last person making phone calls at night, and he’s the first person who wakes up and the first person making phone calls in the morning,” Vance said.

Adding to that he said, “yes, terrible tragedies happen. But I feel very confident the president of the United States is in good shape, is going to serve out the remainder of his term and do great things for the American people. And if, God forbid, there’s a terrible tragedy, I can’t think of better on-the-job training than what I’ve gotten over the last 200 days.”

Health concerns in the background

Trump’s health has been a topic of discussion before. In July, the White House confirmed he suffers from chronic venous insufficiency, a vein condition that causes swelling in the legs.

The fresh round of rumors, though unverified, comes amid ongoing concerns about Trump’s health, particularly regarding visible bruising on his hand.

What are netizens saying about Trump?

X is buzzing with reactions, with some users sharing an old photo of Trump from July 13, 2024, when he was shot in the upper part of his right ear during an assassination attempt at a campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania.

Even a user shared a post, writing, “If Trump is dead i will give 1000 dollars to anyone who likes and retweets this tweet.”

Another user chimed in and wrote, “Donald Trump – Indian economy is dead. Le Indians: Trump is dead trending on X (Formerly twitter).”

Additionally, questions are swirling over Donald Trump’s absence from the public eye, with online chatter speculating that the US President has gone “missing.” Much of this talk stems from anonymous social media accounts, and the White House has yet to issue any response.

Posts on X claimed Trump had not been spotted in the past day, while his official schedule for August 30 and 31 lists no public events, according to Washington-based publication Roll Call. This gap in appearances has only fueled the speculation.

“Donald Trump has not been seen in over 24 hours and has no public appearances scheduled for the next two days. What is going on?,” a user wrote.

Despite staying away from public events, Trump has been active online, frequently posting on Truth Social. He responded to a US Appeals Court decision that declared most of his broad reciprocal tariffs on countries, including India, as “illegal.”
