Former Team India cricketer Shikhar Dhawan has purchased a super-luxury apartment in Gurugram for Rs 69 crore — in one of the costliest real estate transactions of 2025. The opulent under-construction residence is located within DLF ‘The Dahlias’ project and cost the sportsman a whopping Rs 3.28 crore in stamp duty.
Data reviewed by real estate analytics firm CRE Matrix indicated that the sale was registered on February 4. The value of the property was Rs 65.61 crore while stamp duty added another Rs 3.28 crore to the price tag. The 6,040 square feet apartment is located within DLF’s latest super-luxury project ‘The Dahlias’ on Golf Course Raod in Gurugram.
The 17-acre housing project was launched in August last year — with DLF announcing in mid-January that it had already sold 173 luxury homes worth Rs 11,816 crore amid strong demand. The Dahlias comprises of 420 apartments and penthouses. It is the second ultra-luxury offering from DLF after the successful delivery of ‘The Camellias’ at the same location. DLF is expecting a total revenue of Rs 35,000 crore from this project.
According to the company’s website, the flats are being sold on the basis of “exclusive invitations”. Prices range from Rs 73,000 to Rs 80,000 per sq. ft with the apartments sized between 9,000 to 16,000 sq. ft. The cost of an apartment at The Dahlias therefore starts from Rs 66 crores — depending on the apartment size and which side the unit is facing.
“Interested clients will get a unit on an invitation-only basis. This procedure ensures the community maintains its elite status. It attracts only the most selective buyers,” the site explains.
