The ongoing feud between comedian Kunal Kamra and Ola CEO Bhavish Aggarwal took a new turn late Tuesday night, after Kamra lashed out at Aggarwal, calling him more “bankrupt” than thieves and drug dealers. This follows Kamra’s previous criticism of the ride-hailing company’s after-sale service for its electric scooters.
In response to Aggarwal’s statement about feeling elated after riding the Ola Electric motorcycle, Kamra took to X (formerly Twitter) and labeled the CEO as “the most shameless, insensitive douchebag” in the new generation of business moguls.
The post added, “While not responding to the cry of existing customers, he’s here with new schemes to embezzle people of their hard-earned money. He’s morally more bankrupt than thieves & drug dealers, I’d say.”
The latest jab came after Ola CEO Bhavish Aggarwal shared a video on X of himself riding the Ola Electric motorcycle, praising the experience it offered. In his post, he wrote, “Exhilarated after riding the @OlaElectric Roadster! Can’t wait for you all to experience! Future of motorcycling is here.”
Kunal Kamra versus Bhavish Aggarwal
This feud has resurfaced months after Kamra took a sharp swipe at Aggarwal over the reported need for bouncers at Ola service centers. He had shared a screenshot of a user’s message claiming the presence of security personnel at the centers.
Kamra sarcastically tagged Aggarwal in his post, mocking the necessity of bouncers. His comment subtly pointed out the poor after-sales service, suggesting that the frustration of customers was so high that security was required to handle it.
How did the netizens react?
While some users defended Bhavish Aggarwal, others responded with memes and jokes. One user commented, “Do some productive work rather than criticizing someone who is trying new stuff, generating jobs and contributing to GDP. Let him work. Problems do come in businesses and get solved also. What matters is passion, courage, and the ability to take up challenges and move forward.”
Another user pointed out, “Hence, Ola market share has fallen from number 1 to number 4 in just 2 months.”
A third user came to Aggarwal’s defense, writing, “His net contribution to society includes building Ola and scaling electric bikes & scooters. He employs more people than a small city. Sure, his customer service might be bad, but no one was forced to buy his products. If people stop buying, he’ll have to improve quality and service. He’s neither cheating nor a thug.”
However, a fourth user criticised the OLA CEO, accusing him of poor quality products and services, stating, “Yea he blocked me after raising voice against his poor quality products and services.”
