Kapil Sharma was recently spotted at the Mumbai airport and he looked leaner than ever in a casual co-ord set paired with shades and sports shoes. And the Internet didn’t fail to take note of it, with many saying that he is on “Ozempic” pills. Some even said that the COVID-19 vaccine resulted in his dramatic weight loss. A few believe that his weight loss inspiration came from Karan Johar, who recently flaunted his slimmed-down face.
One social media user reacted to the post and wrote, “He’s been taking Ozempic. Lol.” According to the European Medicines Agency (EMA), Ozempic is used to treat people with type 2 diabetes. It can either be used on its own in patients who cannot take metformin (another diabetes medicine) or as an ‘add-on’ to other diabetes medicines.
“He looks so fit,” said another.
A third said, “What’s with these celebrities cutting down on weight? First Karan Johar and now Kapil Sharma?” “Taking Karan Johar’s route,” chimed in another.
After Karan Johar posted a mirror selfie flaunting his weight loss, many linked it to the diabetic medicine, which the filmmaker has rubbished. During an interaction with India Today, he said, “Being healthy, eating right, exercising, doing your best to look good – that’s what it’s about.”
Many users on social media have reported losing weight after being administered the COVID-19 vaccine and linked Sharma’s weight loss to it. One Quora user wrote on the platform that after taking the Moderna vaccine, they began losing weight unexpectedly and have since been unable to gain it back despite a full medical checkup showing no issues.
Earlier, TV actor Ram Kapoor shared pictures of himself after losing 55 kg in a year.
Kapil Sharma is gearing up for his next film, Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon 2. The sequel to his 2015 hit was announced on March 31, with a poster featuring Sharma as a confused groom with a secret bride who has her face covered with a veil.
Directed by Anukalp Goswami and produced by Ratan Jain, Ganesh Jain, and Abbas-Mustan under Venus Worldwide Entertainment, the film promises another round of chaotic romance and comedy. Goswami co-wrote the first film, which was directed by the duo Abbas-Mustan. He has previously worked with Sharma on The Kapil Sharma Show.
