Indian-born American entrepreneur, Naval Ravikant, took to X (formerly Twitter) on Sunday morning to share his idea of immigration. Titled “My immigration policy,” the post has already received significant traction on the Internet, with over 3.1 lakh views and numerous comments.

‘My immigration policy’

“My immigration policy: anyone who agrees with me is welcome into the country. Anyone who does not, is not,” he wrote on X. It is to be noted that Naval Ravikant’s family moved to the States when he was just nine years old. His post comes amid an array of changes in immigration policy after US President Donald Trump returned to the White House in January this year.

‘It is everyone’s immigration policy’: Social media

One social media responded to his satirical take on polarisation, saying that “selective immigration” based on “ideology” has led to “echo chambers and brittle societies”.

“Selective immigration based on ideology might sound efficient, but history shows it leads to echo chambers and brittle societies. Diversity of thought is what keeps nations innovative and resilient,” wrote the social media user.

In response to this, Ravikant simply asks him if it was his first day of using AI.

Another said, “This is actually everyone’s immigration policy; it’s just that everyone isn’t honest about it.”

When a third suggested that “merit-based immigration” should be considered, Ravikant responded, “Yes, but that’s the same as my policy.”

“My immigration policy. Anyone who complains about the country is given the opportunity to exchange passports with a hard-working immigrant who wants to be here,” expressed yet another Internet user.

Several flocked to the comments section of the post and claimed that Ravikant thinks of himself as the US President Donald Trump.

“Hot take: this is everyone’s immigration policy, when you boil it down. But not everyone will admit it,” read yet another comment on the entrepreneur’s post.

One user joked: “This is the only sane policy, though. Liberalism is a joke.”
