Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) continued their dominant run in the IPL 2025 season with a thrilling six-wicket victory over Delhi Capitals (DC) at the Arun Jaitley Stadium on Sunday, lifting them to the top of the points table.

While Virat Kohli’s usual fiery celebrations were speculated following a high-stakes match, he kept his cool, scoring a valuable 51 off 47 balls during RCB’s chase of 163. He played a pivotal role in a crucial 119-run partnership with Krunal Pandya, who starred with an unbeaten 73 off 47 balls, guiding RCB to victory with nine balls to spare. This win marked RCB’s seventh in the season, with six of those victories coming away from home, setting a new IPL record for the most away wins in a single edition of the tournament.

KL Rahul’s bold gesture

The match, however, was also notable for a lighthearted moment between Kohli and KL Rahul. Earlier this month, during RCB’s loss to Delhi in Bengaluru, Rahul had celebrated an unbeaten 93 with a bold “This is my ground” gesture.

Kohli’s response to KL Rahul

On Sunday, after RCB avenged that loss, Kohli approached Rahul and humorously recreated that gesture, pointing to the “Virat Kohli Pavilion” at the Arun Jaitley Stadium. Rahul, quick to respond, also pointed to the pavilion before the two Indian teammates embraced and shared a laugh, clearing any lingering tension from their previous exchange during the match.

After this victory, RCB stands on the verge of securing a playoff spot and will next face Chennai Super Kings in their upcoming home game.
