In light of the Indian Premier League (IPL) game between the Delhi Capitals and the Lucknow Super Giants on Tuesday (May 14) at Arun Jaitley Stadium, Delhi Police officials have issued a traffic advisory for the national capital. According to the advisory, traffic at Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg (BSZ Marg) and JLN Marg may be restricted or diverted.
The advisory also urged the commuters to stay off of Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg from Delhi Gate to ITO Chowk and JLN Marg from Rajghat to Delhi Gate from 5 PM to 11:30 PM.
As per the officials, shuttle service for fans using the metro at the Pragati Maidan and ITO metro stations will also be avaliable. Additionally, park and ride facilities will be offered for gates 1 to 8 at Mata Sundari Marg Parking, 16 to 18 at Rajghat Power House Road, and for gates 9 to 15 at Velodrome Road.
While elaborating on the parking facilities, the police informed that the fans can park their cars at these two places and use the shuttle service to get to the stadium. Furthermore, the police recommended drivers to be patient, follow the directions of traffic officers stationed at all crossroads and practise road discipline.
DC v/s LSG IPL match today
The Delhi Capitals (DC) will play their final league stage match against the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in the 2024 Indian Premier League.
The Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), who are on a scorching five-game winning streak, destroyed their hopes of qualifying for the playoffs a night ago in Bengaluru. Nevertheless, they still have a chance, but they must defeat the Super Giants by a large margin of at least 100 runs, and then they must hope that at least three other outcomes go their way. Put another way, Delhi is essentially eliminated, but its opponents, the Lucknow Super Giants, are still in the running.
