Marcus Stoinis angered a lot of cricket fans on Thursday when he mocked Yashasvi Jaiswal during the first T20 International game between India and Australia. The video showing Stoinis laughing at Jaiswal’s face after Ruturaj was run out is going viral all over the internet. Fans have criticized the Australian all-rounder for his poor sportsmanship.

Ruturaj’s diamond duck run out
The incident happened in the first over of the Indian innings, when a blunderous mixup between the Indian openers ended up with Ruturaj Gaikwad’s wicket without facing a single ball. India were given a target of 209 by Australia. Yashasvi Jaiswal started with a six and a four in the first four balls of the innings. However, on the fifth ball, he played the pull shot towards deep square leg, and immediately called for a double. While taking the second run, Jaiswal came down half the track but abruptly called no.
However, it was too late as Ruturaj found himself in the middle of the crease when the throw from Nathan Ellis reached the keeper who made no mistake. Ruturaj was sheerly disappointed by his early departure.
Jaiswal mocked by Stoinis
Stoinis, who bowled the first over for Australia, went near the disappointed Jaiswal, and laughed out loud, teasing Jaiswal who was responsible for the wrong call, resulting in his partner’s wicket. However, Jaiswal remained silent and avoided any eye contact with the Australian all-rounder. Later, Jaiswal’s innings didn’t last long, and he ended up giving a straight catch to Steve Smith at mid-off. He scored quickfire 21 runs off just eight balls.
Ishan and SKY stabilised the Indian innings
Ishan Kishan and SKY, who came in to bat at number three and four in the innings, stabilised the innings and entered into a partnership of 112 runs. They laid the base of India’s successful chase, and both scored their individual half-centuries.
