Redmi 5A Rose Gold colour variant was finally launched by Xiaomi in India, after a couple of teasers. The Xiaomi Redmi 5A has been launched at Rs 4,999 for the 2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage model while the 3GB RAM/ 32GB storage variant costs Rs 6,999. These prices are similar to the price tags of other colour variants of Redmi 5A – Dark Grey and Champagne Gold. The Xiaomi Redmi 5A Rose Gold colour variant will go on sale every Thursday at 12 noon via Flipkart and Mi.com, starting today.
Xiaomi has been teasing the smartphone in a series of images that pointed out at the launch of a Rose Gold colour smartphone. In line with the teasers, Flipkart listed the Redmi 5A Rose Gold colour variant on its website, confirming the launch. Xiaomi to commemorate the Valentine’s Day, which is just a couple weeks away, is launching the Redmi 5A Rose Gold colour variant. Last month, Xiaomi announced that it has sold over 1 million units of Redmi 5A smartphones in India.
The Xiaomi Redmi 5A was launched as ‘Desh ka Smartphone’ last year in November in Dark Grey, Champagne Gold, and Rose Gold colours, however, only the first two colour variants are available to purchase on Flipkart and Mi.com. The handset comes with a 5-inch HD (720×1280 pixels) display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 SoC, 2GB or 3GB of RAM along with 16B or 32GB of inbuilt memory. It sports a 13-megapixel rear camera with autofocus and PDAF, while there is a 5-megapixel front camera that comes with face recognition feature. It packs a 3000mAh battery under the hood.
