There has been a lot of complaints about smartphones getting frozen and no space. The reason behind it is the WhatsApp ‘Good Morning’ messages. One in three smartphones in India run out of space on their phones on daily basis. Indians’ obsession with sending ‘Good Morning!’ messages are leaving one in three smartphone users in India run out of space on their phones daily. And with the introduction of inexpensive smartphones and data plans in India thousands of people have got an online access which has helped the problem to increase in 10-folds.

However, Google has come out with a perfect solution to the issue. A report by Wall Street Journal suggested that Google has come out with a solution to tackle this problem. The search-engine giant in December last year launched an app that highlights files for possible deletion—with a special feature to search out and delete all good-morning messages at once. The app is called Google Files Go.

Here is how it works:-

As soon as the user will open the Google Files Go app, it will ask for permission to access the storage of the phone. Users need to grant this in order for the app to figure out which files, apps, photos, etc should be deleted. Once a user grants permission, the app shows the total amount of used storage on the phone out of the total available storage.

As the user scrolls down, information is displayed in card formats with Files Go showing which unused apps can be deleted, temporary app files to delete, downloaded files, large files, photos, etc. It will also showcase media from ShareIt, bluetooth, WhatsApp, etc., which the user can delete to get back storage space. In fact in WhatsApp media, the infamous Good Morning messages were also visible for deletion.

Meanwhile, WhatsApp also came out a solution to tackle the problem. The Facebook-owned messaging app added a status message last year so users could say good morning to all their contacts at once, the report added

Popular Indian comedy group All India Bakchod (AIB) addressed the issue in an October skit. A bedraggled man plays the role of WhatsApp, driven to exhaustion by a demanding mother who orders him to deliver morning messages to friends and family who ignore the messenger.
