Samsung Galaxy J7 (2016) launched priced at Rs 15,990: Samsung Galaxy J7 (2016) editions have been launched in India exclusively on Flipkart. Samsung has continued with mid-range pricing that we saw in the previous J-series. The Galaxy J7 has a Rs 15,990 price-tag. Samsung says that the J series is their largest selling smartphone one in India, and according to a recent IDC report, this brand has helped the company win over many first-time, and budget conscious smartphone users in emerging markets. In India, the J7 comes with 2GB RAM and an HD display, not the full HD display and 3GB RAM we’ve seen in China or South Korea version. The smartphones also run the latest Android Marshmallow OS, which is not so common in this price-band.

LG Stylus 2 with pen launched at Rs 19,500 in India: LG has announced the launch of Stylus 2 smartphone at Rs 19,500. LG Stylus 2 features a 5.7-inch HD In-Cell display with a pixel resolution of 1280 x 720. It is 7.4mm thin and weighs 145gm. In terms of design, the smartphone has a protruded flat display, spin hairline pattern on the back and metallic frames on its edges. LG Stylus 2 comes with a pen, which has a nano-coated tip for more accuracy. It has a couple of new features like Pen Pop, Pen Keeper and a Calligraphy Pen font. The smartphone sports a 13 MP rear camera and an 8 MP front camera.

Smartron t.phone announced in India: Here are key specs, price and features – Smartron has announced the launch of its first smartphone, named t.phone in India. The Smartron t.phone is priced at Rs 22,999 and will be available exclusively on Gadgets360. Smartron t.phone is an Android smartphone powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 SoC coupled with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage. The t.phone features a 5.5-inch full HD AMOLED display with a pixel density of 401ppi. Smartron t.phone’s display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3 and comes with fingerprint-resistant oleophobic coating. Smarton t.phone runs Android M operating system and comes with tronX suite of apps and services.

Coolpad Max launched at Rs 24,999: Check out the key specs, features: Coolpad has announced the launch of its flagship smartphone in India. Coolpad Max, which was launched in Indonesia is making its India debut at Rs 24,999. Coolpad Max comes with 4GB RAM and has Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 processor under the hood. Coolpad Max features a 5.5-inch FHD display protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 4. On the camera front, Coolpad Max features a 13 MP rear camera with f/2.0 lens. Coolpad is using ISOCELL image sensor, similar to the one we saw on Lava V5 smartphone. The smartphone has a 5 MP front camera. Coolpad Max features metal unibody design with the back panel looking very similar to HTC One A9.

HTC 10, HTC One X9, Desire 825 and three more smartphones launched: Key specs and price – HTC 10 smartphone has been launched in India, at a price of Rs 52,990. The company has also launched five more phones, the new HTC Desire 628 starting at Rs 13,990, and HTC One X9 dual-SIM smartphone at Rs 25,990. HTC Desire 825 will cost Rs 18,990 and goes on sale in June. HTC 10 will go on sale from June 6, while HTC One X9 will go on sale from June 20. HTC Desire 628 Dual SIM has a 5-inch HD display, 1.3GHz octa-core processor, 3GB RAM and 32GB storage space, a 13-mp rear camera with a f/2.0 aperture and a 5-mp selfie camera. It has a 2200 mAh battery and supports 4G LTE support. The HTC Desire 628 dual-SIM has a support microSD card with 2TB backup. HTC One X9 features a 5.5-inch full HD display, Mediatek X10 octa-core 64-bit processor with 3GB RAM and 32GB storage. It has a 13-mp with 1.12 µm pixels with OIS support, and a 5-mp with 1.12 µm pixels. The battery is 3000 mAh.

Gionee Marathon M5 Plus with 5020 mAh battery launched at Rs 26,999: Gionee has expanded its Marathon Series in India by introducing the Marathon M5 Plus with a 5020 mAh battery. The new M5 Plus is priced at Rs 26, 999. Gionee Marathon M5 Plus will available across retail outlets in India, as well as online exclusively through Flipkart. M5 Plus’s battery has a talk time of up to 21 hours, and a standby time of up to 619 hours. The phone has a 6-inch FHD AMOLED display with 2.5D glass, and is equipped with 3 GB RAM+ 64GB ROM. It also has a fingerprint scanner.

Asus unveils Zenfone 3, flagship Zenfone 3 Deluxe and Zenfone 3 Ultra in India: Asus has unveiled its Zenfone 3 smartphones series – Zenfone 3, Zenfone 3 Deluxe and Ultra – ahead of the annual Computex technology conference in Taipei. The company also launched a new Zenbo robot, ZenBook 3 laptop and Asus Transformer series that comes in three new 2-in-1s – Transformer 3, Transformer 3 Pro and Transformer Mini. Asus Zenfone 3 Deluxe will be available starting at at $499 (Rs 33,590 approx), Zenfone 3 at $249 (Rs 16,752 approx) and Zenfone 3 Ultra version at $479 (Rs 32,217 approx). The Zenfone 3 Deluxe is the flagship model of the series, has a full metal body with invisible antenna bands. It has a 5.7-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080) Super AMOLED display and a 79 per cent screen-to-body ratio. ZenFone 3 Ultra has a big 6.8-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080) display, full metal unibody design, runs the Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 octa-core processor, Adreno 510 graphics, and has up to 4GB of RAM. It also features a 23 MP rear camera and has a fingerprint scanner on the front.

Sony launches Xperia X series in India: Here are key specs, price and more – Sony has finally launched the first Xperia X series smartphones in India. Sony Xperia X and XA showcase company’s latest technological advancements in battery, design and camera. Sony Xperia X is the premium of the two devices with 5-inch full HD display and powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 650 processor. Sony Xperia X comes with 3GB RAM and 32GB expandable storage. Sony Xperia X features a 23MP rear camera and 13MP front camera. Sony Xperia X’s 23MP primary camera is the same as the one found on Sony Xperia Z5 or Z5 Premium. Sony Xperia X is backed by a 2620mAh battery with Sony’s battery saving technology. Sony Xperia X and XA are Amazon exclusive smartphones priced at Rs 48,990 and Rs 20,990 respectively. Sony X goes on sale starting June 7 while XA will be available from third week of June. Sony, no doubt has produced great smartphones with its X series but has once again failed to price it attractively.

HTC One M9+ Prime launched priced at Rs 23,990 in India: HTC Corporation has unveiled the HTC One M9 Prime camera edition smartphone in India priced at Rs 23,990. HTC One M9+ Prime smartphone is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio X10 clocked at 2.2GHz. It comes with 2GB of RAM and includes 16GB of built-in storage. The memory can be further expanded via microSD card (up to 2TB). It also sports 4-UltraPixel front-camera with BSI sensor for better low-light performance. Earlier, HTC had announced the launch of its much-awaited flagship devices in India – the HTC 10 and HTC 10 Lifestyle. The HTC 10 comes in two colour variants – Carbon Grey and Topaz Gold. The smartphone would be available for sale from 5 June at Rs 52,990. The company also announced the launched of HTC One X9, the Desire 628 Dual SIM, Desire 630, Desire 825, and Desire 830 smartphones.
