For Bollywood, 2017 has been a qualified success in terms of box office collections. Films like Golmaal Again, Judwaa 2 and Toilet Ek Prem Katha among others, have earned big amounts, but no movie from the industry has done outstandingly well. Instead, the thunder was stolen by South Indian release Baahubali 2: The Conclusion, which starred Prabhas, Tamannaah Bhatia, Anushka Shetty. This has also affected the listing of the success figures. The actresses who emerged on top are, therefore, not from Bollywood. Tamannaah Bhatia : She starred in Baahubali 2: The Conclusion that earned a whopping Rs 510.99 crore at the box office which is incidentally the highest grossing film of 2017. Tamannaah has beaten top actresses like Richa Chadha, Alia Bhatt and Parineeti Chopra to be at the top. 
Anushka Shetty: She shares the top spot with Tamannaah as she also did this film. Anushka, like Tamannaah, starred in Baahubali 2 which made her one of the most sought after actresses in 2017. So, there are 2 actresses sharing the No. 1 spot. -
Parineeti Chopra: The actress had two releases this year – Poster Boys and Golmaal Again. Both the films combined have helped the actress earn Rs 215.24 crore this year putting her second on the list. (IE)
