Bollywood flops of 2017: It surely isn't an understatement to say that the year 2017 had been a jinxed year for Bollywood. Little did we imagine that a Khan movie would have such disappointing take at the box office. The year was revived by films like Judwaa 2, Golmaal Again which did a commendable performance and were a breath of fresh air for viewers and for the filmmakers and producers who were earlied looking at the BO with fear. A look back at the films which failed miserably, as per Bollywood Hungama, at the box office; From Tubelight, Ok Jaanu to Jab Harry Met Sejal, here's the top 5 list:
-
Ok Jaanu starring Shraddha Kapoor and Aditya Roy Kapoor was expected to perform well at the box office since it was their comeback movie after a superhit film like Aashiqui 2. But contrary to the expectations the film folded up with an earning of just Rs 23.6 cr. The sum is disappointing since it was also associated with Karan Johar production.
-
Shushant Singh Rajput coming back on the silver screen with a dud like Raabta was so disappointing! Though the background music gathered attention to some extent the film flopped at the box office. the film wrapped up with Rs 25.67 cr.
Jagga Jasoos was one unfortunate film to be featured on the list! The Anurag Basu film had a fresh feel, had good songs and the set up too was appealing. Unfortunately, it failed to woo the audience and earned just Rs 54.5 cr. -
Jab Harry Met Sejal has been Shah Rukh's one of the worst films in a very long time. Starring Anushka Sharma in the opposite did not much to the film and neither could Imtiaz Ali recreate the same magic. the film winded up with Rs 64.5 cr.
Though Salman Khan film Tubelight earned Rs 120 cr still it is deemed as a flop. Salman Khan is known for his blockbuster films which make Rs 200-300 cr. this film was a disappointment to his fan who hoped to see the action hero with more vigour.
