Kaabil box office collections day 12: Hrithik Roshan starts his third week in theatres on a good note. Not only did Kaabil enter the Rs 100 crore club on Saturday, but the overall second weekend earnings weren't too different from the movie's first weekend earnings. According to a report in Bollywood Hungama, Hrithik's film got Rs 9.22 crore on Saturday and Rs 11.88 crore on Sunday. The film's total earnings are now up to Rs 118.05 crore. (Twitter)

After the crushing blow Hrithik faced when Raees trampled all over Kaabil at the box office, the actor has stepped up his PR game for the film. Not to be outdone by Shahrukh Khan's Raees by Rail stunt, his tireless tweeting, Raees selfie competitions and whatnot, Hrithik has finally become the last (if not the least) person to jump on the Kaabil bandwagon. The actor began retweeting fan selfies from theatres screening Kaabil, while him and his leading lady Yami Gautam are now embarking on a pan-India promotional tour. The places the pair have visited include Bengal, Telangana, Gujarat and Kerela. (Twitter)

Moreover, Hrithik is in the process of arranging a Kaabil success party for his fans. Whether it's a case of too little, too late remains to be seen, but Kaabil certainly has held its own against Raees, at least maintaining a steady pace for its earnings. (Twitter)

Last Friday provided no real competition for Kaabil as only Jackie Chan and Sonu Sood's Kung Fu Yoga, which opened to lukewarm reviews, hit theatres. This week, however, Hrithik will be sharing the box office with Shahrukh and Akshay Kumar's Jolly LLB. If Kaabil is able to withstand this latest release, then Hrithik's delayed efforts will have paid off. (Twitter)
