Rustom movie starring Akshay Kumar is releasing on August 12 and its is set to take the cinemas by storm even though Hrithik Roshan's Mohenjo Daro is hitting the cinemas on the same day. The clash will be titanic! That Akshay Kumar is one of the hottest stars and one that the entire industry supports wholeheartedly is clear from the fact that even Salman Khan has taken to twitter to virtually 'order' his fans to go and watch Rustom. The movie is special and Salman Khan saying what he did is kindness personified. Check out here what Akshay Kumar, Ileana D'cruz and Salman Khan have said ahead of Rustom release:
-
Akshay Kumar on Salman Khan 'watch' Rustom comment: "He did it on his own. It shows we are all united. Around 180 films are made in the industry (in a year) and many are left incomplete. We are not race horses that we have to push forward and show one-upmanship. There is a lot of work in Bollywood and not enough heroes and heroines. There is plenty of space for all of us and it's not about competition".
leana D'Cruz on Rustom: "It was not a conscious decision (to take on a film after long). I don't think any actor takes one year off just to chill. Unfortunately, for me there were a couple of films I was supposed to do, but that didn't work out. Besides, I didn't want to settle for anything. I feel lucky that I waited and everything fell into pace. Had I done some other film, I would have missed out on 'Rustom'. I am glad I did this film". Starring Akshay Kumar in the lead role, the movie is based on the K.M. Nanavati case and is directed by Tinu Suresh Desai; movie also features Esha Gupta. Salman Khan on Akshay Kumar's 'Rustom' (video): "Humare film industry ke Rustom-e-Hind ki film aa rahi hai naam hai 'Rustom'. August 12 ko jaakar dekhiye Akshay Kumar ki film 'Rustom'. (The film of our film industry's Rustom-e-Hind titled 'Rustom' is releasing. Watch Akshay Kumar's 'Rustom' releasing on August 12)." -
Akshay Kumar on Rustom and regrets: "This kind of a screenplay, script has never been written before. When a man goes the other way, his wife has to forgive. Nobody has shown when a woman goes the other way and comes back, then what happens. I don't have any regrets (as an actor) and I am happy that I am in this industry. I look at my journey without any regret and anybody would love to be in my shoes. If I even had a bit of regret, then there is no point because of whatever god has given me, there is no space for regrets."

Akshay Kumar on the special feeling when he wears uniform in Rustom: "When I'm getting ready, I wear my navy trousers and a banyan inside, till that time I am okay, normal. When the uniforms used to come, the badges, the cap, my walk completely changed; I started gliding. There is something about uniforms that it gives you a certain kind of responsibility; it just tells you, 'you are the man, you take the charge, you do everything'. When you see the movie, you will see that my walk has changed while I'm entering the courtroom or anything. So I envy these people who wear uniform. That's why I also did the contest that whenever you see a guy in a uniform, have a selfie".
