UP Civic Polls 2017: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Friday secured a massive victory in the Uttar Pradesh civic polls with its candidates winning in 14 out of the 16 mayoral seats, including the prestigious Ayodhya and Varanasi as well as capital city Lucknow. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, who led the party's campaign in an interview today said that rival Congress was humbled even in the Gandhi family bastion of Amethi and the BJP will now aim for hundred per cent success in the 2019 Lok Sabha polls. He attributed the victory to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision and BJP chief Amit Shah's able guidance.
