Prasun Banerjee: A retired international footballer and an Arjuna Award Winner (1979) from Kolkata, he is the brother of the Pradip Kumar Banerjee. Prasun also led the Indian football team in many international tournaments and was only the second Indian to play for Asian All-star XI. He played two matches against the Brazilian side that included Zico, Eder, Falcao, Socretes and others. A member of the Trinamool Congress, Banerjee was re-elected to Lok Sabha in 2014.
