According to Indian Navy Spokesperson Captain D K Sharma, Sumitra rescued 27 people till Wednesday morning who were found adrift at sea over 100 miles away from Bangladeshi city of Chittagong. These people include ladies, children and elderly people, he said. (Twitter)

At least nine people were reportedly killed after Cyclone Mora made landfall in Bangladesh. Due to the cyclone, all flights were suspended to and from Chittagong and the Cox's Bazar airports.
