IPL Auction 2017 started off with a bang with one of the most wanted players, Ben Stokes going for a record breaking figure of Rs 14.5 crore. The English all rounder was 17-years-old when he played his debut match for Durham. Ben Stokes impressed the selectors early in his career and before he knew it, he was playing in England's 2010 Under-19 World Cup team. Soon enough, Ben Stokes got better and better with his game. He scored a century against India U-19 team and proved to everybody that this player is here to stay. Ben Stokes set his base price at Rs 2 crore but after a huge bidding war Ben Stokes was sold to Pune Supergiants for Rs. 14.5 crore. (Reuters)

IPL Auction 2017: Tymal Mills along with Ben Stokes broke a record today, the two English players became the highest paid overseas players. Fast pace bowler Mills stole a deal of Rs 12 crore and joined the Royal Challenger's Bangalore squad. His journey has not been all glossy with spinal cord injuries creating hurdles for him but the heated bidding war between Punjab, Mumbai, Delhi and KKR, it is clear that the bowler still has it in him. IPL Auction 2017: Kagiso Rabada is another fast bowler who left the world stunned with his bowling speed of 140kmph-150kmph. This 21-year old player gives South Africa the hope that their team is in good hands. Right-hand fast bowler, Rabada is also known for his much powerful bowling attack that he does in such a way that the ball swings both ways without affecting the pace of the ball. Kagiso's base price this year was Rs 1 crore. He was sold to Delhi Daredevil for Rs 5 crore. We don't know about the team, but the young player is sure to win some hearts in India with his game. IPL Auction 2017: New Zealand Trent Boult is a fast bowler and played for Hyderabad until last to last year and had a phenomenal season then. The bowler has also established himself as a tail end batsman. Since the player could not play in the last season of IPL, he was released and had went for auctions again this time. Boult's base price this year was Rs 1.5 crore and he was sold to Kolkata Knight Riders for Rs 5 crores making him one of the top signings of this IPL season. (Reuters)

IPL Auction 2017: Pat Cummins, an extremely talented bowler too bagged a good deal for himself this season. Cummins had his debut at the age of 18 and has regular bowing speed of 145 kmph. He had the bidders in confidence despite the fact that he has had some injuries in the past. Cummins also plays bats in the lower order. He has played in Australias's Big Bash league and has proved himself in the T20 format. Pat Cummins had put his base price at Rs 2 crores and was sold to Delhi Daredevils for Rs 4.5 crores.
