Renault Kwid hatchback priced at a competitive Rs 2,56,968 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi) was launched in India on Thursday. 1. Renault Kwid bookings: These have already been started by the carmaker and interested buyers can book the vehicle by giving an upfront payment of Rs 25,000. The company states that the hatch will get the starting price tag of Rs 2.57 lakh and the top variant will be priced at Rs 3.53 lakh. Renault will also offer a 2-year/50,000 km warranty.

2. Renault Kwid variants: The carmaker will introduce a number of variants – 4 trims in all. These are Renault Kwid Standard, Renault Kwid RXE, Renault Kwid RXL and the Renault Kwid RXT. </br> Renault Kwid weight: The car weighs about 660 kgs and also gets the option for personalisation via about 60 different accessories.

3. Renault Kwid exterior: The car features a design that was totally unexpected for a car in this category. The attractive SUV-like profile is reminiscent of the popular Duster and lends a sporty appeal. The front façade gets the aggressive radiator grille that sports the company’s logo at the center. There are various style cues at the front that are just like the elder sibling Duster. The car features noticeable C-shaped chrome studded lighting cluster at the front and the short boot at the rear that adds to the Kwid's robust and strong appearance. 7. Renault Kwid engine</br> The new Renault Kwid will be powered by the 0.8-litre petrol motor that is able to churn out max power output of 54 bhp and the peak torque of 65 Nm. The engine comes coupled with 5-speed manual transmission. Renault Kwid besides being one of the more powerful vehicles in the segment, also boasts a grand fuel efficiency, which stands at 25.17 kmpl. The company is also working to introduce the automatic gearbox in the vehicle, which it calls as ‘Easy-R’ technology.
