The Narendra Modi government has stopped the use of the banned old Rs 500 and Rs 1000 notes almost completely. While the Rs 1000 note is history now, limited use of Rs 500 note has been allowed. Earlier, both these high denomination notes were allowed to be used in petrol pumps and some other places, but this can no longer be done. In case you have still a few Rs 500 notes in wallet, here we tell where you can still go and use them legally. Please do be aware of the fact that the Rs 500 note is still legal tender in certain other places and we are showing here only the top 5 places. (PTI)
