The BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty were trading flat on Tuesday during the morning session. At 9.50 am, Sensex was up 14.04 points at 28,115.76. Similarly, Nifty was down 3.40 points at 8,529.00 during the same time.
Below are the stocks that are likely to be in focus today:
Tata Steel and SBI: The stocks of both the companies will be in focus today as they will report its first quarter numbers for the current financial year later in the day. The stocks of Tata Steel were down 1.63 pc at Rs 256.90 in early trade, while SBI shares were up 1.8 per cent at Rs 288.15.
Wockhardt: The stocks of the drug company will be in focus after it reported over five-fold jump in its consolidated net profit at Rs 114.20 crore on Monday for the quarter ended June 30, 2015 mainly on account of robust sales. The shares were up 1.07 pc at Rs 1669.95 in early trade.
Adani Power: The company’s stocks will be in focus after it reported a consolidated net loss of Rs 417.58 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2015. The company had reported a consolidated net loss of Rs 303.29 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2014. The shares were down 0.54 per cent at Rs 27.60 in early trade.
Sun TV: Sun TV stocks will be in focus after the Madras High Court on Monday cancelled former telecom minister Dayanidhi Maran’s interim anticipatory bail in the controversial telephone exchange case and directed him to surrender before the CBI within three days while rejecting his charges of political vendetta. The shares were down 3.08 per cent at Rs 330.45 in early trade.
Nestle India: The Department of Consumer Affairs is all set to file a complaint against Nestle over Maggi issue in the National Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission (NCDRC) using a provision for the first time from the nearly three-decade-old Consumer Protection Act. The shares were down 0.28 per cent at Rs 6368 in early trade.
Companies like NMDC, Jubilant, Apollo Tyres, Hathway Cable & Datacom, Sun Pharma, Reliance Power, Adani Enterprises, Godrej Industries and Prestige Estates may announce their earnings on Tuesday.
