Petrol, Diesel Price Today 10 October 2024: Oil prices went down following the release of US data showing an increase in crude stockpiles. However, the drop in prices was cushioned by fear over the disruption of the Iranian oil supply and Hurricane Milton’s repercussions on the US.
As per the latest report, Brent crude futures closed at $76.58 per barrel, recording a 60-cent drop or 0.8% whereas US West Texas Intermediate (WTI) futures were down by 33 cents or 0.5% and were closed at $73.24 per barrel.
Markets continued to remain tense in anticipation of an Israeli attack on Iran’s oil facilities. A significant 4% decline in oil prices was also recorded the previous day because of the chances of the ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hezbollah.
Meanwhile, US President Joe Biden had a discussion with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu related to oil producer Iran. However, none of the parties have shared details about the meeting yet.
