The recently launched 24×7 Toll Free Tourist Infoline – 1800111363 or a short code 1363 is gaining popularity among tourists, and has received a total of 17,911 calls as on March, 20 2016, since its launch on February 8, 2016 by the Ministry of Tourism, as per a PIB release. The service provides information relating to travel and tourism in India to the domestic and International travellers.
The 24×7 Toll Free Tourist Infoline service is available in 10 international languages, alongside Hindi and English. The 10 international languages handled by the contact centres include Arabic, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Chinese, Portuguese, Russian and Spanish.
This project was implemented by the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India through TATA BSS, who have been associated with the work after open bidding process.
