Co-founded by former Apple CEO John Sculley, who (in)famously ousted the iconic Steve Jobs from his own company, Obi Worldphone has unveiled two new models, the SF1 and the SJ1.5 in San Francisco.
Both the Obi Worldphone SF1 and Worldphone SJ1.5 will be available starting October in retail stores in some countries and online in others. The company has announced that the smartphones will be initially available in Vietnam, Indonesia, Thailand, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Kenya, Nigeria, Tanzania, South Africa, Pakistan, Turkey and India. 1. The Obi Worldphone SJ1.5 is priced at $130 and also comes with a 5″ IPS screen and dual-SIM connectivity.
2. The Obi Worldphone SJ1.5 screen has 720p resolution and both card slots are microSIMs. It has a fresher version of Android Wi-Fi SJ1.5 and it computing power is boosted by a MediaTek chipset with a quad-core processor and 1GB of RAM.
3. The Obi Worldphone SJ1.5 camera is an 8MP shooter (OmniVision sensor) with f/2.2 aperture. The selfie camera is 5MP shooter.
4. The Obi Worldphone SJ1.5 measures 146 x 73 x 8mm and weighs 131g. Like the SF1 it has a 3,000mAh battery.
