Samsung launches Galaxy F06, its most affordable 5G phone in India with ‘ripple-glow’ finish, 5000mAh battery

Samsung has launched the new Galaxy F06 5G calling it the company’s “most affordable 5G smartphone in India.” The smartphone supports 12 5G bands across all telecom operators which means wider network compatibility and better 5G coverage across various locations.  

“We are proud to announce our most affordable 5G smartphone, designed to make next-generation connectivity accessible to everyone. The launch of Galaxy F06 5G reflects our commitment to bridging the digital divide and empowering millions of consumers with a complete 5G experience, superior performance, and an all-new stylish design at an introductory price starting INR 9499. With Galaxy F06 5G, we are not just launching a smartphone, but new possibilities for every Indian,” Akshay S Rao, the general manager at MX Business, Samsung India said at the launch of the smartphone.  

The Galaxy F06 5G sports a glittery finish that shimmers with every movement. The company calls it a ‘Ripple Glow’ finish. The phone features a 6.7-inch large HD+ display with a peak brightness of 800 Nits.  The phone measures 8mm in thickness and 191 grams in weight.  Samsung is giving the phones in two different colour options – Bahama Blue and Lit Violet.  

The Galaxy F05 features a 50MP wide-angle lens with F1.8 aperture paired with a 2MP depth-sensing camera and 8MP front camera.  The smartphone is powered by MediaTek D6300- a processor with an AnTuTu score of upto 416K.  Galaxy F06 5G depends on a 5000mAh battery with 25W fast charging support.   

Samsung is promising 4 generations of OS upgrades and 4 years of security updates with Galaxy F06 5G. The Galaxy F06 5G is available in two RAM models- 4GB and 6GB variants- both coming with 128GB storage. The 4G model is priced at Rs 9499 while the 6GB one costs Rs 1099. There is also a Rs 500 cashback offer on the purchase. 

Samsung S25 Edge expected to arrive by May this year 

In related news, Samsung is also said to be working on a premium Galaxy phone dubbed as Galaxy S25 Edge. There are reports that this phone could be lighter than the standard Galaxy S25 in weight despite having a larger display. The phone is rumoured to mark its debut around April or May this year.
