Samsung has launched the Galaxy Fit 3, successor to 2020’s Galaxy Fit 2. So, it’s befitting to say that it has been a long time coming. The budget fitness tracker boasts of a larger display and better battery life while bringing value-adds like fall detection and emergency SOS on top of your usual suspects including heart rate and sleep monitoring. The Galaxy Fit 3 price in India is set at Rs 4,999 with general availability pegged for February 23, 2024.

Samsung Galaxy Fit 3 launch: Specs, features

The Galaxy Fit 3 has a 1.6-inch AMOLED display, a 45 percent bump over the Galaxy Fit 2. It has a single button and one-click quick release band available in a choice of gray, silver, and pink gold. The fitness tracker charges through a proprietary POGO pin and wireless charging is not available. Speaking of which, Samsung claims the 208mAh battery in the Galaxy Fit 3 can go for 13 days on a single charge.

The tracker comes with support for up to 100 sports modes but there is no GPS (and so, you can’t leave your phone behind while running/jogging). It is both 5ATM and IP68 certified. You do get a bunch of apps calendar and weather but know that it doesn’t actually run WearOS 9 like Samsung’s newer Galaxy smartwatches. Emergency SOS is triggered by pressing the sole button on the side five times. Per usual, the Galaxy Fit 3 supports step counting as well as sleep and stress level tracking in which case the Samsung Health app will be your go-to companion for getting all the data.
