Realme has announced its new P series range of smartphones in partnership with Flipkart. The P series smartphones will be India exclusive, Realme has confirmed, and the maiden devices under the lineup will launch in the second week of April.
While sharing the plans on the P series, Realme India business strategy lead, Tarini Prasad Das told news agency PTI that in 2024, the company aims to achieve the 50 million smartphones sales cumulatively under its partnership with Flipkart. “We aim to lead the Rs 15,000-25,000 smartphone segment this year overall with the launch of the P series. The P series itself is expected to lead the segment,” Das said.
Moreover, Realme is among the top five brands in terms of volume market share in India with 12 percent market share in 2023. As per a Counterpoint report, the company stood at second position in the smartphone online market with 13 percent market share in February 2024. The report also highlighted that the brand captured top spot on Flipkart in the price range of Rs 20,000-30,000 with 29.2 percent market share in the same period.
Realme P series: Details
Without revealing the specifications of P series smartphones, Das said that it will play on performance, design, better display and charging facility in the target segment. Das further added that both offline and online sales contribute equally to overall business of Realme and the company is looking to consolidate its leadership in the Rs 15,000-25,000 segment with the P series.
“We have exclusively partnered with Flipkart for the P series. We aim to achieve the 50 million sales milestone in Flipkart with the launch of the new P series this year,” Das added.
