Realme has made several bold claims about its next phone, Realme GT 7 Pro. With the phone in question, the self-proclaimed “dark horse of AI” not only aims to give India the first dibs at the brand-new Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, but to deliver a true flagship device for the first time in years. It’s a hard reset on everything we’ve come to expect from Realme, an Oppo spin-off brand that’s been working relentlessly to fill the void after OnePlus left the “flagship-killer” building. Now, it wants to join it and countless others like Vivo and Samsung, for a place at the pinnacle of smartphone excellence.

The Realme GT 7 Pro will launch sometime in November. It won’t be the first to launch with Qualcomm’s latest and greatest chip in its home turf China where it will break cover on November 4, almost a week after Xiaomi unveils the Xiaomi 15 with the same core hardware. But an India launch is pegged soon after, going by Realme’s ongoing marketing shenanigans. We don’t know the launch date yet but since we already have the Realme GT 7 Pro in flesh and blood for testing at the time of writing, we have reason to believe, it could beat the usual suspect iQOO this time. The iQOO 13 should follow soon enough.

We’re not allowed to share many details due to embargo constraints, but we can show you what the Realme GT 7 Pro looks like, a sneak-peek if you will to get the ball rolling.

Realme GT 7 Pro: What we know so far

Realme claims the GT 7 Pro is all set to raise the bar for flagship smartphones with a host of groundbreaking features. Confirmed to debut with the world’s first 8T LTPO ‘Eco-Sky Screen’ quad micro-curved display, co-developed with Samsung Display, the device promises a visual feast. It supports Dolby Vision HDR10+, offers 6,000 nits HDR brightness mode, 2,000 nits peak brightness, and covers 120 percent ultra-wide P3 colour gamut. The display further comes with 2600Hz touch sampling rate, DC Dimming, and green AI eye protection.

At the heart of the Realme GT 7 Pro of course is the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset. Built on an advanced 3nm process, the chipset combines energy efficiency with performance. Its 2+6 octa-core architecture pushes clock speeds beyond 4GHz, delivering unmatched power for multitasking, gaming, and AI tasks.

The GT 7 Pro is the first Realme device with Next AI integration which brings multiple AI tools from AI Sketch to Image for turning rough sketches into detailed pictures, to AI Motion Deblur and AI Telephoto Ultra Clarity for seemingly improved photography. Gamers will appreciate the AI Game Super Resolution, which enhances visuals to 1.5K resolution for immersive gameplay on popular titles like PUBG and Genshin Impact.

The Realme GT 7 Pro has a body made of glass and metal. Our review unit has a brushed gray metallic finish. Realme has also teased an orange variant with “Mars-inspired” design, although it remains unclear if it will come to India.

The GT 6T left us very impressed. The GT 7 Pro takes everything we liked and takes it up a notch at least on paper. Whether or not it will redefine the flagship smartphone category—as Realme says—only time will tell. Stay tuned for our full Realme GT 7 Pro review coming soon.
