Xiaomi spin-off Poco launched the Poco M7 5G budget smartphone in India today. The M7, as you can probably tell from the naming, is a watered-down Poco M7 Pro 5G, with a familiar design and lower-end specs. The Poco M7 starts at Rs 10,499 though, Poco will sell it for Rs 9,999 starting as a part of first day offer.
Poco M7 5G: India prices
Poco has launched the Poco M7 5G in a choice of 6GB/128GB for Rs 10,499 and 8GB/128GB for Rs 11,499. On the first sale day, which is pegged for 7th March, the M7 will be sold at Rs 9,999 and Rs 10,999, respectively. The phone will exclusively be available on Flipkart.
Poco M7 5G: Specs, features
The M7 5G has a 6.88-inch 720p IPS LCD display with a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 600nits of peak brightness. The display has a waterdrop-style notch which houses an 8-megapixel selfie camera. On the back, the phone has a 50-megapixel main camera.
Powering the Poco M7 5G is Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 mobile platform and a 5160mAh battery with 18W fast charging (Poco is shipping a 33W charger in the box). Running the show is Android 14-based HyperOS. The phone is guaranteed to get two major OS and three years of security updates.
The M7 has a side-mounted fingerprint reader for biometrics. It is IP52 rated for basic splash resistance. Connectivity options include: 5G, dual SIM, dual band Wi-Fi, USB Type-C, and 3.5mm audio jack. The Poco M7 5G comes in three colour options: Satin Black, Mint Green and Ocean Blue.
