NYT Connections is a tricky word game from The New York Times taking the world by storm these days. It is rapidly gaining popularity among puzzle fans. Like Wordle, it challenges players to recognise patterns and think logically with a fresh puzzle dropping every day.
How to play NYT ‘Connections’
In Connections, you’ll see a 4×4 grid with 16 words. Your goal? Sort them into four groups of four based on hidden connections. These categories can be anything- synonyms, pop cult, household items, or even names of cities. A new puzzle drops daily, so there’s always a fresh challenge to take for the players.
Where to play NYT ‘Connections’
You can play for free on The New York Times website or in its Games app. A new puzzle is released at midnight.
There are four groups color-coded by difficulty:
Yellow – Easiest
Green – Moderate
Blue – Challenging
Purple – Hardest
Look for words with common themes – shared meanings, cultural references, or subtle wordplay. When you spot a connection, select four words and hit Submit. You have four chances to get all groups right before the game ends.
