LG G6 smartphone has launched in India today and has been priced at Rs 51,990. The smartphone will be sold as an Amazon exclusive device. The company has unveiled the pre-bookings and registrations for its latest device in the country. The LG G6 is a flagship device for LG this year and is a successor to the not-so-popular LG G5 smartphone. LG G5 was known for its innovative designs when it announced many new modular parts like add-on camera, called LG Friends, yet it could not lure in many customers in the Indian market. LG seems to have taken the traditional path this time with the G6 smartphone. According to various reports, the LG G6 might cost somewhere between Rs 50,000 to Rs 53,000. As a flagship device, it might be cheaper than the newly launched Samsung devices, Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ which are priced at Rs 57,900 and Rs 64,900.
The South Korean company, LG is offering its customers, who pre-book the smartphone, a cashback discount up to Rs 7,000. If you pre-book the LG G6 smartphone by the end of this month, you will be able to get a cashback of Rs 2,000. SBI and HDFC bank card users will get an additional Rs 5,000 cash back by the end of May. So users who pre-book the LG G6 before May 1 using either of the two bank cards, can avail a total cashback of Rs 7,000. The company is also offering a 50 percent discount on its Tone Active+ HBS-A100 wireless headset for those who are pre-booking the phone. Additionally, LG will also provide free games worth Rs 14,100 to customers who pre-book the flagship device. Similar to the Samsung Galaxy S8, S8+ and the iPhone 7 series, the LG G6 now sports IP68 water and dust resistance as well. The LG G6 was unveiled at the MWC 2017 and was available in these colour options: Astro Black, Ice Platinum and Mystic White.

LG UX 6.0 also has a ‘Square Camera‘ feature that divides the 18:9 display into two identical perfect squares, in which users can click pictures in a 1:1 format. It is a popular social media image size.
