Homegrown brand Lava launched the Agni 3 smartphone in India today. The Agni 3’s marquee features are its dual AMOLED display and customisable Action Key. The phone in question starts at a cool Rs 20,999.

Spec-wise, the Agni 3 has a 6.78-inch 1.5K 3D curved AMOLED primary display with a 120Hz refresh rate and 1,200 nits of local peak brightness. The panel supports HDR. The phone has a secondary display on the back, also AMOLED and 1.74-inch in size. Lava says it can serve as a viewfinder to take selfie photos with the rear camera. You can attend calls through it and get notifications. Additional app support includes music control, steps and calorie tracker, and recorder.
Powering the Agni 3 is the 4nm MediaTek Dimensity 7300X processor paired with 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of storage. The phone has a 2900mm² Vapour Chamber cooling setup, Lava says. Running the show is Android 14 software with three years of major OS and four years of security updates guaranteed. Rounding off the package is a 5,000mAh battery with 66W fast charging.
For photography, the Agni 3 has a triple rear camera setup with a 50-megapixel optically stabilised main camera, 8-megapixel 3x telephoto, and another 8-megapixel ultrawide. The front camera is a 16-megapixel.
The Agni 3 supports 14 5G bands, Wi-Fi 6e and Bluetooth 5.4. There is a customisable Action Key on the side of the phone which—as per Lava—supports 100 plus shortcut combinations using short, long or double press. You also get dual stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos and IP64 dust and water resistance.

The Agni 3 comes in a choice of 8GB/128GB and 8GB/256GB. Lava will offer the phone with and without charger in the box. The Agni 3 8GB/128GB variant without charger is priced at Rs 20,999. With charger, it will sell for Rs 22,999. The 8GB/256GB Agni 3 with charger is priced at Rs 24,999. General availability is pegged for October 9 from Amazon.
