Apple fans, be ready to get your hands on the iOS 18.1 update soon! Yes, after the latest iPhone 16 series, Apple will soon release the iOS 18.1 along with Apple intelligence. As reported by Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman iOS 18.1 will come on October 28. He also reported that with the update Apple intelligence will also mark its entry.
Till now Apple has been testing iOS 18.1 in Beta stage. Now it will be rolling out the update for everyone soon.
Apple Intelligence to come soon
Early rumors had suggested that Apple Intelligence would not be available for the iPhone 16 series. But things have been cleared and Apple will be rolling out Apple intelligence on October 28. As of now iOS 18.1 will be available to iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 pro max and the latest iPhone 16 series.
So, what are the features awaiting you with iOS 18.1. Here’s a list of features that will be available for you:
- Writing tools: With Apple intelligence you will be able to get writing tools. This can help you to proofread your writings. It can also suggest sentence structure or help you select words for creating sentences.
- Updated Photos app: The photos app will get updates. You can now create a memory movie with your photos. For example you can create a movie out of the best pictures of your travel series.
- Cleaning tools: The news clean up tool will allow you to remove unwanted spots/marks from photos. It’s like the ‘Magic eraser’ which is available for Android users.
- Update Siri UI: Apple intelligence will also bring an updated version of Siri. Apple will revamp Siri UI. The new Siri UI will be shedding light from all the edges.
Other updates
Apple explained that it has been delaying the rolling out of iOS 18 to ensure that users get a bug-free experience. The tech giant also aims to increase its cloud infrastructure with this update. In addition to this it will also bring ‘priority notification.’ With this feature you don’t need to search for important mails/ notifications. Apple intelligence will do that for you. For example, if you have an important meeting, it will notify you about the meeting. You don’t need to check your mails constantly for that.
Furthermore there are other updates lined up for you, as reported by Gurman. This includes the following :
- In October you will get iOS 18.1 with key upgrades
- In December you can expect iOS 18.2. Also Apple might introduce Genmoji, ChatGPT integration and Image Playground.
- During early 2025 iOS 18.3 or 18.4 is expected to come. This can feature a revamped Siri experience.
