WhatsApp Channels is now live and after a series of Bollywood stars joining it, now the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi himself has joined the platform. PM Modi on Tuesday joined WhatsApp Channels- a new feature that allows users to start one-way broadcasting channels and connect with a large number of subscribers at once.
This will let PM Modi to reach out to citizens and build a more direct connection with them. He is already one of the most followed world leaders on social media, with over 90 million followers on Twitter and large followings on Facebook and Instagram.

WhatsApp Channels is significant because it is a platform that is widely used by Indians. WhatsApp is the most popular messaging app in India, with over 400 million users. This means that PM Modi will be able to reach a large number of Indians through his WhatsApp Channel.
The Prime Minister’s WhatsApp Channel will be a one-way broadcasting channel, which means that citizens will not be able to send messages directly to him. However, they will be able to react to his posts with emojis and share them with their friends and family.

- Launch WhatsApp on your Android or iOS device and navigate to the Updates section.
- Tap on the Discover Channels feature and initiate a search for “Narendra Modi.”
- Locate PM Modi’s channel and opt to follow it if you wish.
