Google has launched Nexus 5X and 6P in India on Monday at a starting price of Rs 31,900 and Rs 39,999 respectively. Both smartphones are available for pre-order on e-commerce giants Amazon and Flipkart.
While Nexus 5X is exclusive to Amazon, Nexus 6P is a Flipkart exclusive. The devices will be available for sale online on October 21 and offline later in the month.
Running on latest version of Android ‘Marshmallow 6.0’, Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P offer an enhanced version of ‘Now on Tap’ feature that allows users to get additional information, take actions or navigate between apps.
Google Nexus 5X
Manufactured by LG, Google Nexus 5X comes with a 5.2-inch Full HD screen and 2700 mAh battery. It has a 12.3MP rear camera with laser-assisted autofocus and a 5MP front camera. The phone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 SoC with 2GB of RAM.
LG has announced several offers including free Bluetooth headset worth Rs 2,500, free screen replacement due to accidental damage and a cashback of Rs 3,500 for HDFC credit card users.
Google Nexus 6P
Google Nexus 6P is manufactured by Huawei and is a first full metal-body phone that comes with a larger 5.7-inch WQHD display, 3450 mAh battery and is powered with a Snapdragon 810 v2.1 SoC and 3GB of RAM. The Nexus 6P also has the same 12.3MP rear camera as the 5X but comes with an 8MP front facing camera with HDR+ shooting mode.
