Microsoft in May announced its AI powered PCs under the Copilot Plus brand. These new AI-backed PCs namely the Surface Laptop and Surface Pro have now hit the market. These new devices are said to redefine computing experiences with advanced AI capabilities, marking Microsoft’s concerted effort to rival Apple’s dominance in the sector.
Microsoft describes Copilot+ PCs as the “most intelligent” Windows PCs ever created. These new processors are said to be capable of performing over 40 trillion operations per second. These PCs also offer long battery life and give access to advanced AI tools.
The new Copilot Plus PCs are available for buying with price starting at $999 at Microsoft.com and the Microsoft Experience Centre. The 64GB Surface Laptop (7th Edition) starts at $2,399.99 with a 13.8-inch display in black, featuring a Snapdragon X Elite (12 Core) Processor and 1TB SSD Storage. Meanwhile, the 15-inch model of the Surface Laptop (7th Edition), also with 64GB RAM, is priced from $2,499.99 in black, equipped similarly with a Snapdragon X Elite (12 Core) Processor and 1TB SSD Storage.
“Today marks the beginning of a new era for Windows, with the launch of Copilot+ PCs. We can’t wait to see how these new AI-powered devices empower people to be more productive and creative,” Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella wrote in a post.
Additionally, there’s the Surface Pro Essentials Bundle starting at $1,144, which includes discounts on Microsoft 365 subscriptions and accessories like the new Surface Pro Flex Keyboard. These Copilot+ PCs are designed to deliver advanced performance and are equipped to handle a variety of tasks with ease, making them ideal companions for both work and leisure, says the company.
