After almost two years of whispers, Apple enthusiasts might finally see their budget-friendly dreams come true. According to The Information report, Apple’s suppliers are prepping to ramp up mass production of the iPhone SE 4 this October.
This news follows nearly 24 months of speculation surrounding the next iteration in Apple’s affordable iPhone SE lineup. While the report indicates production will pick up pace in October, it doesn’t guarantee a launch alongside the highly anticipated iPhone 16 series which is expected in September.
The Information suggests the iPhone SE 4 could hit store shelves closer to Lunar New Year in January 2025. However, considering previous iPhone SE releases fell in March, a March 2025 launch remains a possibility.
For budget-conscious Apple fans, the iPhone SE line offers a more affordable entry point into the iPhone ecosystem. The current iPhone SE (released in 2022) retains the familiar design of the iPhone 8 but packs a powerful A15 Bionic chip under the hood. Rumours surrounding the iPhone SE 4 hint at significant upgrades, including a larger display, a dual-camera system inspired by the iPhone 16, and the latest A18 Bionic chip.
While the official release date remains unconfirmed, the news of production ramping up suggests Apple is nearing the launch of the iPhone SE 4.
