Amazon has spilled the beans on Apple’s next breakthrough product—the M4 Mac Mini. The e-commerce website briefly listed the unannounced product—presumably by accident—and even though it was swiftly removed, MacRumors managed to capture key details and images in the nick of time.
Per the screenshots shared by the publication, the 2024 Mac Mini refresh will feature a sleek silver design with two front-facing USB-C ports, likely supporting the Thunderbolt 4 connectivity standard, along with a 3.5mm headphone jack. The leaked data suggests Apple will offer both base and Pro versions of the M4 silicon, with configurations going up to 14 CPU cores, 20 GPU cores, 64GB of unified memory, and up to 8TB of storage.

The hardware is nothing short of being “revolutionary” considering that the new Mac Mini could be of the size and form factor of an Apple TV. In the leaked listing, it is placed next to a Mac Studio so it is hard to make a guess about the exact dimensions, but chances are we won’t have to wait too long to get the final picture as the full details and pricing are expected to be revealed later today or tonight, for folks in India.
Apple is on a Mac launch spree this week. Last night, it took the wraps off the M4 iMac which brings more power and enhanced connectivity inside a sleek but familiar-looking package. In the days to come, it will also possibly unveil new 14- and 16-inch MacBook Pro models. But the Mac Mini is what’s got everyone talking. Though it is called “mini”, the 2024 update could bring one helluva “major” update to the world of desktop computers. Watch this space for more updates.
