American YouTuber MrBeast kicked off a high-stakes, year-long weight loss challenge to help his friend Majd shed 100 pounds. The YouTuber offered his friend $250,000 if he won the challenge. Majd spent the year at a dedicated training facility, complete with unlimited access to food and a personal trainer to guide him. But the catch was limited social interaction until he hit his target.
As the challenge progressed, MrBeast raised the stakes even higher. He increased the potential reward to a whopping $417,650.
However, in the middle of filming the challenge, Majd’s coach Tyler Wall passed away. Out of respect, MrBeast offered to halt the video’s release. However, Wall’s family urged them to proceed, wanting his message of hope and positivity to continue inspiring others.
Majd later completed the challenge after 178 days, with a remarkable transformation. He credited Wall, saying, “Without Coach Wall, I wouldn’t have been able to do this. He said it’d be so cool if we get to this together. And today is that day.” The video included a makeover reveal, which showed the results of Majd’s physical transformation after the challenge.
YouTube’s top creator, MrBeast, has successfully diversified his brand beyond just videos. He’s launched popular ventures like the MrBeast Burger fast-food chain, his Feastables candy brand, and now his hit show, Beast Games, streaming on Amazon Prime.
