Zurich and Copenhagen lead the list with the most expensive cappuccino
According to Deutsche Bank Research’s latest Mapping the World’s Prices report, Zurich in Switzerland has emerged as the most expensive city globally for purchasing a standard cappuccino, with the average price pegged at USD 6.77 (approximately Rs 581), followed by Copenhagen in Denmark, where a cup of coffee comes for the same price, tying for the top position.
The third costliest city on the list is New York, where a cappuccino is priced at USD 5.95 (Rs 511), followed by other major urban centres such as San Francisco, Geneva, and Abu Dhabi.
Mumbai is India’s costliest city for a cup of cappuccino
India, where coffee consumption is growing steadily, also features in the report. Among Indian metros, Mumbai ranks as the most expensive, with a regular cappuccino priced at USD 2.58 (Rs 222). Bengaluru follows at USD 2.35 (Rs 202), while Delhi trails with an average cost of USD 2.07 (Rs 178).
